We are looking for an experienced Head of Procurement to lead and develop a high-performing team of 5 buyers for our growing hotel chain. This key role involves overseeing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving the implementation of a new purchase ordering system across all properties. Reporting to the Procurement Director, the ideal candidate will bring expertise in operational efficiency, cost management, and process innovation to ensure excellence in procurement across the organization.

YOUR TASKS

  • Set clear goals and performance expectations for team members, providing regular feedback and coaching
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals, focusing on cost reduction, supplier quality, and timely delivery
  • Collaborate closely with the Procurement Director to align purchasing strategies with broader organizational objectives
  • Oversee vendor selection, negotiation, and management, ensuring a strong supplier network that meets cost, quality, and delivery standards
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers, regularly reviewing performance to maximize value for the hotel chain
  • Lead the deployment and adoption of the new purchase ordering system across all properties, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth integration
  • Analyze purchasing data to make informed, data-driven decisions and to track savings, compliance, and performance
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, savings, and performance metrics to senior leadership

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field; a Master’s degree is a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the hospitality or related industry
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation
  • Proven experience implementing purchase ordering systems or similar technologies
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel
  • Languages: Fluent German & English
